Hello my pretties. 1950's FOREVER BABY! To those of you who know what I'm talking about, you kick ass and our group will prevail; to those that are clueless- read on and learn the tale for the day.

Today was Senior Skip Day Number One, but I had to go in for a presentation for third period. You see, come January, our drama class will begin rehursals for A Midsummer Night's Dream. Ms Miner, our drama teacher, loves to throw a twist into Shakespeare performances by changing the time era around, so our class broke into groups and planned different times to set it in. Our group's idea, the best idea, was to do it in the 50's. As if that's not good enough, we added a twist- all scenes and characters, other than those involving the faires and the forest scene, would be done in black and white- like a tv show. The faires would remain in color, as well as their set, and would remain the invission of faires. Our presentation was amazing, complete with scene ideas, costumes, and lots of detail. This ended up paying off because our scene is now one of the final three up for the vote. The other two are Western and Gothic/horror.

Now is the time we've REALLY got to get into the researching. We have to learn about the culture- from music and fashion, to world affairs and economics! Did you know that in 1956 a gallon of milk cost 97 cents, a loaf of bread was 18 cents, the average income was $4,500 and Uncle Milton's Ant Farm were created? Pretty facinating, isn't it? :)

Off to do some research! Write more soon! Love*Morgan
